The Design and Application of Sensors Implemented in Java

This paper presents two examples that use sensors implemented in Java to build distributed applications. At rst, the design of sensors based on the reactive system model and the implementation of these sensors in Java are outlined. After a brief description of the performance analysis, the two application examples that use these sensors are presented. The two examples show the advantage of using sensors, that is the ability of separating policies from mechanisms, providing greater exibility and the modularity in system design and programming.
